Cool $1.5M Star Trek Styled Theater

http://www.cepro.com/article/look_in...k_home_theater

Quote:
This is one home theater that Trekkies of the world won't want to miss, complete with a JBL Synthesis sound system, Kaleidescape media server, Prima Cinema system, Turbolift door and hydraulic floor. And that's nothing compared to the $1 million worth of 'Star Trek' merchandise.

As a Trek fan, I think the rooms look awesome.

Could do without some of the dolls and collectibles though.

Yeah. Working for a living and spending money on things you enjoy is silly.

Spending and flaunting are two separate things

flaunting by building something he loves?
it's not like he came on here saying hey check this out. he submitted his theater to a website devoted to electronics. per the website :

CE Pro magazine is the leading trade publication for professionals involved in the custom electronics business. Our readers specify and sell technology-related products to homeowners, homebuilders and SMB (small/medium business) owners.
obviously my opinion but thats not flaunting.

I don't think he's flaunting, and of course there will be some of us who will be jealous, but that's not the type of home theatre I would build even if I had that kind of money (which I don't).

I do love Star Trek and Star Wars too.

I do think it looks cool though. Good for him.

When you turn out the lights to watch a movie all that crap disappears into darkness!
