Default Spaced: The Complete Series

AWESOME show only currently available on DVD. You would think with all the respect for the Cornetto Trilogy, this would get an HD release.

Does anyone know how it was shot? Is a HD release possible?
If so, could they skip to 4K at this point?

Unless upscaled, then no. It was shot on Digital Betacam, as was the norm for late-90s/2000s shows.

Pretty much no UK shows went HD until around 2009.

It does look fairly rough on DVD, not sure how much could be improved on Blu-ray.

I suspected this was true, but never knew for sure.

And there are a lot of rough looking DVDs that weren't properly restored until Blu-ray, where they now look brilliant.
