Some embossing on the statue would be nice too. Missed opportunity if it has none.

Just watched this movie again last night. A classic! It's held up through the years, provided you have 3.5 hours to kill (although I did watch it in three parts over three days). The remake definitely does the story a disservice by trying to cram it all in two hours.

If the listing is right and this is 2 discs, then you're losing the 1925 silent version and the features length doc on Heston. Both are absolutely wonderful so any fan would still need that 3-disc version.

Yes. It will be the exact same region free discs as before (just like the French version in the video above).

But as David Gallow noted earlier this steelbook only has 2 discs.

The original release had a third disc containing the 1925 silent version as well as the feature-length documentary 'Charlton Heston & Ben-Hur: A Personal Journey' which you will not get with this steelbook.

Thanks for the info, I was wondering about the 2 vs 3 discs as well.
