Default 2k identifier on UHD?

Should there be a separate identifier on UHDs that state that the movie is only a 2k source?

Look at Samurai Pizza Cats.
It boldly states "SD on BD"

I feel that 2k on UHD is going to be a huge issue.
Look at how many BDs are just ported over DVDs.

If UHD wants a better rep than BD, it's going to need true 4k content. Not half assed disks.

I recommend to watch Pacific Rim and The Shallows. 2K upconverts that look amazing compared to their blu-ray counterparts. 4K Blu-rays also have other advantages such as HDR and Wide Color Gamut. Batman v Superman is a 4K DI and doesn't look as good as the two movies I just mentioned.

Alot of the 2K upscales look suberb, as long as that is the case I don't mind.

Besides I think there will be more 4K DI movies in the future.

It just seems like Lionsgate needs to put more effort into their UHDs.

Sicario looks great, nothing wrong with Divergent 3 either. Ex 3 and Divergent 1 and 2 on the other hand is another story, but there's a workaround for that but it shouldn't be that way ofcourse.

Nope. That would be a marketing disaster.

And while 2K movies may not necessarily benefit much from UHD resolution, the HDR and WCG is a big jump from 1080p Blu-ray.
