In Germany the distribution rights are owned by CONCORDE (not Mickey Mouse) !!!!!!

Disney through the side door. The thought never occurred to me, but I'll take it anyway I can get it. Thank God for region free.

I hope they print up enough copies in anticipation of a lot of them being sold to other countries.

If these do see the light of day, I'll be so curious about the mastering decisions. New 4K master? Upscaled VFX? HDR?

I'm sure they're legit. Disney has no control over Concorde and I remember importing several Concorde HD DVDs that were distributed by Disney (Bridge to Terabithia) or Sony in the U.S. I'm surprised I never considered that some Disney-controlled movies in the U.S could be released on UHD BD in other countries by distributor who are on board with the format.

Who knows it may be a sign that Disney is getting on board soon but at the least it would put pressure on them if the Marvel movies are being imported here. That's probably their biggest franchise.

Sony have the first Iron Man movie and The Incredible Hulk in a number of territories. I don't see them stepping on Marvel's balls and releasing them on UHD, though.

Iron Man Trilogy 4K Steelbook, please. First two on film, third one shot beautifully by John Toll, all three with some lovely HDR... even if these are 2K upscales they should look great. Does this site ship internationally?

First film has some foreign text that needs to be translated using forced subtitles. I wonder if this German edition will be English friendly in that regard?

Legit, yes, but it remains to be seen what source materials they'll have to work with. If they're proceeding without Disney's participation, they'll probably only have the Blu-ray master to use and they'll have to produce some kind of upscale/modification of that. These discs won't necessarily come close to the movies' potential on the format.

It's probably going to be sourced from a 2K DI regardless of whether Disney or Concorde releases it. Concorde isn't some kind of cheap company which will release secondary source transfers due to lack of access to the real thing. They are huge in Germany and Germany loves their discs probably more than any other country.

And on that note I don't think Concorde is going rogue and going against the wishes of Disney/Marvel. They want to protect their assets.

Did Disney buy the rights to the first two Iron Man films? I know Paramount released them originally and then worked with Disney on The Avengers (with Disney getting home video rights). I wasn't sure if they bought Iron Man and Iron Man 2 or if it's similar to the Fox situation with the original Star Wars films?

In the US at least they have had 1 and 2 since 2013.

I could see these films look really good on 4K as there not that old overall and could look and sound good with the UHD upgrade too.
