Hm. Those screenshots on Amazon's site aren't necessarily from the actual BD, right? I wouldn't think they'd release those until after its release. I ask because based on them I'm not too sure I should get my hopes up :/
Can someone list an example or two of the DNR and EE disaster referred to? I'm wondering just how bad they were. |

Its a good Blu Ray.
Thankfully they got their hands on a unmolested Master. No DNR applied but older scan. It looks filmic. Screenshot Comparison between the new Blu Ray and the German PAL DVD: http://imgc.rauch.co.uk/ http://imgc.rauch.co.uk/ http://imgc.rauch.co.uk/ http://imgc.rauch.co.uk/ BD Info Scan: Code:

Ups..sorry about the screencaps.
EDIT: The URLS doesnt work correct here. Don't know why. So you have to copy and paste them. They are: http://imgc.rauch.co.uk/ and then you add the numbers 1229, 1230, 1233,1234 or 1235 for the different Screencaps Last edited by SwissHD; 02-21-2015 at 11:30 AM. |

I'm in the US and despite it being shipped out a couple days ago, it says it won't be here until March 9th! I couldn't believe that so I looked up Asendia and indeed, they have a reputation for taking an eternity. They couldn't provide a tracking number either. Good stuff

Very true. I always wonder what the point is in rescanning a print to HD when the compression will bring up artifacts that might even be worse than then standard definition. Based on my icon, it's safe to assume I'm dying for April Fool's Day and the iTunes version is only around 2.5 Gigs. Macroblocking, massive crushing, still rather blurred, etc... so sad. Still an upgrade but not by much.
