I saw this at NYFF, it was fantastic. I’m so glad it’s being submitted as Georgia’s pick at the Oscars for Best Foreign Language Film.

Nice touch on the 4:3 AR, that's kinda cool.

I'll watch it whenever it's on Blu-ray, Netflix or something.

There is admittedly some use of long take as an affectation, but I liked the film overall and it had some standout sequences that make good use of silence and landscapes. I can also see the links with Haneke and Akerman.

Yeah, just saw it with my girlfriend and we both liked it. The kitchen scene when Yana was peeling cucumbers was very Akerman, right? Haneke came to mind here too, especially the "show and not tell" approach that works well with the main character's internal conflict. Overall, a lot of strong scenes. Thumbs up!
