USA Total Recall (2012) 2 for 1 on redemption!

I just redeemed my Total Recall (2012) via Sony's redemption site since Vudu does not have the redemption link up yet. And not only did it add it into Vudu almost instantly which usually it takes a little while but it added both the Rated and the Unrated extended edition into Vudu both in HDX.

So if you want both editions I would recommend using Sony's redemption link as I don't know if Vudu will give you both or not.

Same thing happened with me on The Raid: Redemption. UV code gave me both the theatrical cut and the unrated cut.

I redeemed the Raid through Vudu and only got one version don't recall which. But Spider-Man 2 through Sony redeemed for both regular and extended cuts.

Hmmm. I went through Sony and it added it to my VUDU once. In SD.

Yeah, I redeemed through Sony and got both versions (for The Raid).

I would always redeem UV codes with the distributors themselves rather than Vudu. Some people who redeemed Rock of Ages through Flixster got both cuts while people who redeemed it through Vudu only got extended.

I got both cuts of Rock of Ages via flixster. I typically always try to redeem through the studio for those reasons as well. But I've been picking up codes in the trading thread and just using VUDU for redemption to make it easy sometimes...

I did it through Sony a day or so ago and got both. The director's cut was greyed out on vudu so I couldn't play it until the next day

Someone said it might be because my DC is from the DVD version.

It's quite possible. I never redeemed a DVD code so I wouldn't know.

If it's true and if someone can confirm. We all learned something new today.

I redeemed through VUDU.

I think I only got one version...

Doesn't matter much to me anyways but since it's in the cloud it's nice to have more.

I think I could ask Sony for the 3D version of Spiderman since I tried to redeem the 3D version on VUDU and only got 2D..... I think other people have managed to bother Sony and get the 3D copy too.

Just got off the phone with Sony and they are going to upgrade this for me manually and add the second version.

Good to know. What other movies have been confirmed that you'll get both versions of the movie if redeemed on the Studios' Site?

If I already redeemed this on VUDU (and got both versions) is there still a redemption in Sony's site?
