It sounds pretty good. I'm trying to personally get into period dramas, specifically the Keira Knightley films. I have Atonement and Pride And Prejudice and I hope to pick up Anna Karenina. If I decide to import the Sofia Coppola Box Set from France (for The Virgin Suicides specifically), I'll also get Marie Antoinette.

A Royal Affair was very good. Mads Mikkelsen was excellent in this as usual and Mikkel Følsgaard did a great job as the unbalanced king as well as Alicia Vikander did playing the queen (she is in Anna Karenina as well). Like I said before if you like costume dramas this is a good one. |

Thanks for the tip! Holding out to own the Blu as this is the kind of film I really enjoy collecting, not to mention viewing with the best possible PQ.
It's gone as low as $17.00 a few times but it never seems to stay there for long. I'd snatch it up right now for that. |

Recently bought this, popped it in my player and found that the Bluray menu just loops its video intro over and over, and there's no "play" options at all. I've tried every button on the Bluray remote, nothing will get the movie to play. Does anyone else know of this problem or how to fix it?

For anyone unfamiliar, the menu has no control options (like play, special features, scene selection, etc.) and there's no way to move from this menu to the film itself. It would almost be funny but it's pretty frustrating. I was disappointed to see this thread be so barren, I'd be curious to hear other people's experiences with this title. Just an update: I ended up ripping it to my pc with makemkv and just watching it there ![]() The mkv is perfect and extracted fine. It really is just that the menu screen has no actual menu on it. I was trying on a PS3 slim before, maybe other people's blu-ray players don't have this problem. Who knows Last edited by Steady; 10-27-2017 at 04:12 AM. |
