A lot of people loved Transformers so it'll sell a number too large to count. Since the announcement of Warner going blu-ray exclusive, victory will be around the corner!

It will sell great, but the "novelty" effect has worn off.

Yep.

UNLESS they release the Blu edition totally pimped out with extras/unrated material and lossless audio. Then it might do pretty well...especially with those of us who have resisted buying into HD-DVD for this title alone

I don't really know. I never watch Transformer because they are HD-DVD exclusive, but if they have the movie in Blu-ray format then maybe I will give it a try.

As Mikey has stated, Transformers were filmed for BRay...it will be tricked out and it will have tons of extras never seen on HD DEAD...

By the time Paramount releases Transformers on Blu-ray, the user base will be much larger. 500,000 is not an unexpected result.

this movie sucks, i wouldnt buy it if it was on blu-ray anyway. its so overrated.. i mean come on, its supposed to be a movie about robots. why the hell are there all these army guys taking up all the time in this movie like tyrese?!? gimme a break..

No, you give me a break. Putting nothing but robots in it would make it a kid movie. The movie was fantastic. Don't be ashamed to admit it.

The only dreamworks exclusive that I want. Depending on what their contract is and how soon they can get it out will determain sales. If released on this half of the year probably 200k. Second half, probably 300k but the movie will be getting old by then too so that should be taken into account. I just hope Paramount lets their engineers go back to what they were working on and give us a full BD high bitrate version with lossless audio.

I think it could sell about 250K in the first week. Maybe closer to 300K.
