Just recently saw "Lifepod" for the first time. It's an well-done, underrated sci-fi tele-film from the early '90's - starring Robert Loggia, CCH Pounder, Ron Silver, and others.
The movie is set in the future, and is about a small group of people who are trapped on a lifepod (after the ship they're on explodes, taking most of the other passengers) with limited life support & resources. Great acting & I didn't find the effects to be that bad, given that it was an early '90's tele-film. The PQ & sound on the DVD that I saw was fairly sub-par, so I'm hoping for a Blu release - but, considering the obscurity of this film, am not counting on this. Side-note: this film is loosely based on Alfred Hitchcok's classic film "Lifeboat" (1944). |
