Saw it last october. Maybe not as tight or deep as some people would have like, but still good, liberating fun. Recommended.

Just watched it. I thought it was good, maybe very good. But not great. Glad I watched it though

P.s. that's definitely not the plot (in the first post), right? Or did I see a completely different movie? Lol

That was taken from an old source - the movie was pretty much kept under wraps until its Cannes premiere. I'm gonna edit the first post.

Reminds me of when, back in 1989, I guess Universal wanted to keep Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing" under wraps until its premiere. They had just had enormous, history making controversy the year before with Scorsese's "The Last Temptation of Christ". They knew Lee's film would be controversial, too.

Anyway, they leaked a deliberately bogus synopsis beforehand, and Premiere Magazine and some other film news outlets picked it up. It's so funny to look back at it, now.

The synopsis in Premiere read: "Sal, an Italian American, and his sons run a beloved pizzeria in a predominantly black neighborhood in Brooklyn. When some mob heavy types try to muscle in on Sal and his business, the neighborhood around him bonds together, and just might have something to say about that."

I just watched this for the second time about a week ago. I liked it even more than the first time. I think it's pretty close to being a great movie.
