Pre-order just went up for this title. Not surprised, as its renewal was announced a few days ago. They're releasing it in June, though, I'm surprised it's so early

I've really enjoyed the show especially the last 2-3 episodes so I'll be getting this. Hopefully they'll be open to including this show in the Arrowverse in season 2.

Not this early in the summer though, the earliest has been LoT s2 on August 15th last year. Everything is usually mid-late August or sometime in September, this will be 2 months after it finishes.

I'll get it, easily the best DC property of the past year, but I'll wait for the usual BF stuff like all the rest. Too many to buy at full price lol Maybe that's why they're doing it in June though, spread them out to try and get people to buy them day/week 1.

Totally gonna pick this up. Black Lightining is my second favorite after Legends. This show is done so well. Please keep it out of the Arrowverse I Don't want the stupid Teen Drama crap of the Flash/Arrow ruining this great show.

OMG the one star reviews on amazon calling it too political and racist against white people/ white cops made my head hurt

That’s so sad...this show isn’t racist at all. It is making a statement but it’s an important one. These one star reviews are coming from people who are EXTREMELY insecure.

This is probably my second favorite DC CW show, behind legends.

One thing that set this series apart for me is the great use of music. Hoping to see some sort of special feature about it on the BD release

I enjoyed the show. I will buy this, but not until the fall when it is marked down. I never buy these CW sets on day one when they are marked down so drastically in the fall. I learned my lesson when season one of the Flash came out and I payed full price only to see it marked down $20 that fall.

I noticed season 1 is now available on Netflix. Is this similar in tone to Arrow and Flash?

I'd say it's somewhat similar in tone, but also pretty different. It has more of a family vibe, and tries to stay a lot more grounded than say The Flash. It feels more like the first season of Arrow, but with super-powers, but still trying to stay realistic. It's very good- probably my second favorite CW superhero show airing after Legends of Tomorrow.

I am on the last episode and although not exceptional, it was a very entertaining show with vey catchy characters and situations. Look forward to a second season!
