The Panasonic UHD players I have seen mentioned seem very expensive (Oppo prices). I'm really more in the $200-$250 range, tops. Does Panasonic make more affordable UHD units, like the Sony X700, or are they all pricey? I love my Panasonic blu-ray players, and their UHD players look amazing, but too expensive for me.
Dolby Vision is a must. That's one benefit to the new Sony x700 - it's getting Dolby Vision later this summer. But I continue to hear about stutters/freezing on some discs, and the LG players seem to be noisy. I'll never buy another Samsung player after multiple bad experiences with their DVD and blu-ray players over the years. |
