It's a miracle, indeed. Another one of those movies - like Tom Jones - that I've been waiting since the dawn of the digital formats to own in a technically decent edition.

It never had an anamorphic release on DVD (at least not English-friendly).

There's more than one version of "The Miracle Worker" are you sure this is the 1962 version?

The 1962 version is the only one owned by a company that has a licencing agreement with Olive.

I am not familiar with this label. Do they usually have good special features and at least decent specs?

Meanwhile, SO excited. Have loved this movie since I was a wee lad when I worked on the play at my local theater.

Finally on Blu-ray!!!

I guess there are no special features on the disc. I just hope they did a new transfer instead of simply copying the old DVD...
I do not know Olive Films and I doubt they can do miracles. I mean "miracle" of a kind Shout! did with The Thing.

In this case, I would call a miracle if somebody could dig up the only existing copy of the first TV adaptation of MW (1957). It lies hidden in an institute in LA. I also believe there must be at least fragments of the original Broadway play shot on camera, since it was incredibly popular at that time.

Weird that Mr.Tooze never mentions it in his review, saying the lossless track "sounds wonderful". I'm getting this today and I'll listen closely to the audio.

I'm on the fence about this one. I've seen the movie only once when I was a kid in elementary school and not to sure how i'd receive it today, but for the current price on amazon I kinda wanna bite.
