Enclosed environment allowing super high quality assets + strong motion blur enhancing good animation = I don't see why most of this shouldn't be obtainable.
The combat parts are animated like a cutscene so the fake gameplay HUD isn't fooling anyone but apart from that it's only some of the fire-breathing effects that look a world apart from what we've seen before, even on PC. But PC developers haven't properly explored high-end, artistically constructed physics-driven particle effects. Most of the Nvidia PhysX effects just look dropped in from game to game. |

![]() Deep Down is a PlayStation 4 exclusive Deep Down, the forthcoming Capcom RPG unveiled during Sony's PlayStation 4 reveal, will be exclusive to that platform. The news comes via Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono, who confirmed the title's exclusivity on Twitter. Quote:
The company clarified in June that Deep Down has no connection with Capcom's 2012 RPG Dragon's Dogma, though little else is known about the game thus far. It's being developed on a new engine title Panta Rhei, which has been described as "the next evolutionary step from the MT Framework." A new trailer was unveiled last month showing a montage of monsters in a subterranean environment. Sony is set to showcase over 50 PlayStation games at the Toyko Game Show, which runs from September 19 to 22. In the meantime, the company will livestream a translated version of its Japanese PlayStation press conference later today at 7am BST / 2am ET, and 4pm in Australia. |

Deep Down has been discussed for PS4 by Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono at a Sony event in Japan this morning. Despite its grim, almost medieval appearance, it’s actually set in the future.
Tweeting the event as it happened, Eurogamer reports that Deep Down is indeed set in 2094 and takes place in New York. The idea is that must read mysteries to solve an over-arching crime. While Ono confirmed the game will be explained in greater detail at TGS, he teased that the online title would feature random monsters and procedurally generated dungeons. Online multiplayer includes up to four players. http://www.vg247.com/2013/09/09/deep...dural-content/ |

I find interesting that the idea seems to be a sort of "Gauntlet" in the sense that you group with people, and go do a Dungeon that is procedurally generated entirely. Kinda seems like a true dungeon crawler in the way it's being conceived (ala good old times of self created dungeons in D&D), but I wonder if there will be some sort of over -arching story?

Does seem like a true dungeon crawler though which is awesome. I just hope the game is easy to solo if you want to play alone or can't find anyone to play with at times. |
