Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced Green Zone on Blu-ray for June 29. This action thriller is directed by Paul Greengrass and stars Matt Damon as a rogue US Army officer who must hunt through covert and faulty intelligence hidden on foreign soil before war escalates in an unstable region. Street date has been set for June 29. It will be presented in a single-sided BD50. For a limited time, the Blu-ray edition will also offer a digital copy of the film.

Saw this in the theaters. I thought it would be an action packed war movie. Instead it turned out to be an anti-iraq war movie / political statement. The Hurt Locker was way better. Personally, I'm going to skip this on blu.

Same thing my parents said. They went for an action movie and even though they said it was ok it was not what it seems advertised to be.

Saw the trailer for this one when I went to see Shutter Island. It looked very interesting to me, I might but it once the price drops a bit.

I thought it was well done, probably better than Body of Lies (comparable)

I saw this twice at the theater. The frist time I went with 5 other people and was distracted throughout the movie for some reason. The second time I caught it at an first showing/Early Bird Special for $6.00. I got more out of it the second time and found it to be a good action/thriller set in post-invasion Iraq. But, I think I will wait until it drops to $17 to pick it up. $24.99 is a little high.

I'll buy it. Paul Greengrass is an amazing direction. He builds tension PERFECTLY. I love the hand-held shooting style. This was a top-notch war thriller.
