I found a used one of these for 25 dollars. Is it definitely region free?

Don't be such a tight ass, buy a brand of some renown. Do you realize that you might get to watch 20 movies at best, or how noisy the player is?

I purchased one some time ago for Region Free play (there are a number of ARROW titles and NETWORK titles that are not Region Free ....The Long Goodbye, The Long Good Friday, Rollerball, etc etc and they arguably look better). I think all in all I have a couple different players hooked to my receiver - and this one serves its purpose.

I'd say at $25 it's worth the risk, but just speaking for myself, I've had awful luck with this brand. The player worked for about a week then died on me.

I've had one for a couple of years and never a problem. Granted, it's not in constant use, though, and I mainly use it for playing Region 2 dvds. I've never played a non US blu on it. I particularly admire its dvd upscaling, which is above average. On the downside, the build is flimsy, so you need to take care not to knock it around.
