FYE is generally considered one of the highest prices stores for movies and pretty much anything else. Congrats though on your purchase.

They are high priced, but I found a used copy of Sunshine for $24.99 early last week, a good week before it was released.

My FYE just closed down.

Shop there while you can. (If they have deals that is.)

some of the prices were very high (ex. fox titles being 39.99) but there are a few gems if you go in and look every once in a while. For some reason ice age was only 19.99 as well I just didnt think I should have spent more money

I found Aeon Flux used ( and still sealed!) at a local gamestop recently for 9.99. They did have it labeled as the SD version though, but hey, after the 10% discount I paid 9.53 after tax, not bad!

Thats an awesome deal. I went to two gamestops yesterday (there's 2 in the same mall here ) And all their BD prices were ridiculous. A USED copy of mission impossible was $34.99 but they did have spiderman 3 and shoot em up for $17.99 used. Unfortunately I have both of those movies. I was thinking about checking some local pawn shops sometime soon, theres opportunity for good stuff there. Anyone have any luck at pawn shops?

You found a used copy of a movie a week before its release date?

FYE's day to day regular prices on new movies are very, very high and not really worth while.

However, some of their used stuff is reasonably priced (though some of it costs more than it should... some of their used stuff is the same price as buying it new on most websites).

They've also occasionally had good sales on some non-used Blu-Ray movies, though they are few and far between.

So far I've only bought one used Blu-Ray from them. This past summer just after I got my first Blu-Ray player, My wife and I got Happy Feed on BD used for $18.99, if I recall correctly. She had been wanting the movie and we were considering getting the DVD, but at the time it was $19.99 pretty much everywhere, and for $1 less we could get it in Hi-Def, so we went with that instead.

I would take those copies of the Italian Job back if I were you. At any price that BD version is no steal.

Cool

If you knew what some of us know, I don't think you would have paid more than $9.99 for the Italian Job.
