Default Getting search errors

Sorry if this is not the right place to put this but I’ve been having problems the last few weeks. Everytime I go to a thread I lose the search option so I have to go back to the home page to search anything. Then when I go to search for a thread it always takes me to the error page. I’ve notified the webmaster of this problem and haven’t hear anything back so can someone please help me.

That’s where it sends me with an error after I use the search at the top of the website then I try using that and it doesn’t do anything. I have to use google to find the thread I’m looking for all the time.

Very strange, if you only type "harry potter" in the "Keyword(s)" field and click on "Search now" I get tons of search results. Are you using different search options?

No just search for forums and it gives me an error and like I said when I go to a thread I lose the ability to search anything I then have to go back to the front page.

I get an error too everytime I try to search something on the forum. It always take me to this: https://forum.blu-ray.com/search.php?do=process and it tells me:

"The following errors occurred with your search:
1- Invalid Action specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"

I only get this error using Chrome. If I try on Firefox, everything's fine. But I don't use Firefox much so I'd like to know if this will be fixed thanks

I'm getting an error when I click on the 4K link found on the My Blu-ray.com pop up menu located in the upper right corner of the site. However, the 4K link under my collection works and is the same exact URL. Sounds like something wonky is going on with the site and it may need a flush/reboot.

I'm getting search errors too. If I go here and search for a title in the Digital Copies trading forum.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/search.php

If I check "show results as threads" it works fine.
But if I choose "show results as posts" I get this error

"This page isn’t working
forum.blu-ray.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500"

Same error if I'm in a thread and choose "search this thread" on the top right underneath the page numbers.

Works for me
Do you get this error all the time or only occasionally? It could perhaps be related to when the search engine rebuild search indexes.

It seems to be within the past few weeks. Tried different browsers (chrome, safari). Even mobile iOS, same result.

Hey I just thought of something. Could it be specific to the digital trading forum? Specifically the UV copies for sale. I tried searching another movie thread with no issue. Tried the UV thread specifically and get the same issue.

Interesting I am getting this error on Firefox (both the latest 59.0.1 and legacy Firefox versions 47.0.1 & 47.0.2). That is the exact error I get when using the search this thread function in forums but I (knock knock) on wood found another thread that at this point in time has solved my problem see if it works for you. (posted at the bottom).

Hello Iceman - I appreciate you responding to people.
I WAS having the same issue that Martinouchou posts about above and I get that exact quoted error when trying to search this thread:
"The following errors occurred with your search:
1- Invalid Action specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"

Over the past year + I've had this problem intermittently but in the past after clicking the administrator link and reporting the problem it would seem to clear up within a few days - may not have been a cause and effect but anyway... about 3 weeks ago the problem returned and despite doing the reporting the issue wasn't resolving.
Today I went looking (hoping I was not alone ) I found this thread:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=291794
Post #3 is what I used to correct the issue in Firefox
It took me a bit to find where in the User CP skins is located so I'll try and speed that along for others looking for the fix that corrected the problem for me in Firefox (I don't use Chrome much so IDK if the problem was cross platform - I may switch the skin back and try it over there just for thoroughness/helpfulness - hopefully I'll remember after I finish my current project).

TL;DR
1) Click [User CP] (control Panel) link far left button on the Blu-ray bar part way down the page ---> or Shortcut link:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/usercp.php

2) Under Settings & Options section along the left column select [Edit Option] ---> or Shortcut link:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/profile.php?do=editoptions

3) Scroll Down to the bottom of the page or [CTRL] + [F] (find) - search for "Forum Skin" at the bottom of the page. Mine WAS set to "Use Forum Default" others with the problem reported theirs said "Classic Style".
Switched it to "Blu-ray Style" - This seems to have corrected the issue. I am now able to "Search this Thread" and get results
