Blu-ray media.. little silver grains? - Blu-ray Forum

Why do the blu-ray discs have always some king of silver pigments on it? I dunno what it is but, some kind of microscopic points that somethimes looks like little tiny tiny tiny grains.

I dunno if that appear after you use it.. i dunno. Some PS3 games also have the same caracteristics..

Its just a combination of the scratch proof coating and the increased density of the pits that make up the data.

So that is just like pop corn? as much as you watch it, more will come?
