None. If the Rocky franchise ended with IV, then we wouldn't have Creed. If Final Destination ended with 3, then we wouldn't have had 5. See where I'm getting at?

That could be a statement for all the movies listed in the Original Post. I think 2020 has provided us with enough negative items.

Sometimes franchises have to hit a low point before being good again.

The Terminator series definitely comes to mind. To me, everything after 2 has been disappointing at best and embarrassing at worse.

Star Wars should have ended at ROTJ.
Transformers should have never happened.
MCU should have just been not a generic rinse and repeat formula.
