So my Sony 85 inch tv has been sitting dormant since November due to no time to sit it up and couldn’t find a stand to my liking. Ok inbox it and stand. It has no remote or power cord. Best Buy and Sony are no help. I see Sony Bravia replacement remotes but no cords. Any help on replacemt cord I should get

You just now taking a brand new TV out the box after three months, and noticed that it didn't have the power cord, and the remote? There isn't anything that Best Buy can do because, you will have to order the parts from Sony's website, but you shouldn't have to because, the items were missing initially from the manufacturer. All you need is the make and model number. The TV is still under the manufacturer's warranty, and Sony should honor it, and send you a replacement power cord and a remote. Sometimes a customer have to be constantly persistent and verbally combative to resolve an issue.

That's good. Another thing had occurred to me is that, did the TV look brand new, and packaged direct from the manufacturer, or did it appeared to be used because, I find it very ironic that a brand new TV didn't have the power cord and remote. How could a manufacturer forget the put the accessories for the TV inside the box? That's very rare, and unheard of! There's a strong possibility that Best Buy may had repackaged their display model and sold it to you, but didn't put the power cord and the remote control back inside the box. Since it's been three months, it's going to be difficult to prove, even if it did happened. As a matter of fact, Best Buy had sold me a display model a few years ago, and I caught it. I took that TV back so fast it made their head spin, and demanded a refund. They will try it, if they can get away with it!

Interesting! Whenever Best Buy sell their refurbished, or open box TVs, they can repackaged and tape the original box exactly the same as if it came from the manufacturer, and the customer wouldn't be able to tell the difference. They keep all the boxes for their display model TVs and A/V receivers in the back of the store, to be reuse to repack their refurbished and open box merchandise. When a refurbished or an open box item is sold, the cashier will need the original box to scan the barcode to enter product's information into their system.
