Yes, heard the same. Trailers looked nice however. But just trailers in the end, sadly.

As Agent Kay said, heard many bad things about Mile 22 so I may not be surprised if this movie won't get 4K Blu-ray here in the US. I'll just stick with Berg's superior films Lone Survivor, Patriot's Day, and Deepwater Horizon.

True story with Marky Mark, then ok.
Otherwise it's battleships

This was really bad. Wahlberg plays a motormouth wise ass who is some kind of unspecified savant (complete with annoying tic), but most of what comes out of his mouth is fake "patriotic" and/or technical gibberish which has clearly been fed to him by the writers and he is just spitting it out like a parrot. The lead female character is also bogged down by a completely unnecessary divorce subplot that is played out largely via "futuristic"-looking smartphones and a "divorce mobile app", which all feels out of place and from a different movie. I honestly thought it was going to be unintentionally funnier than it was (look at Malkovich's hairpiece, for example), and I was disappointed by even that. Iko Uwais has one decent fight scene, and there are some serviceable action sequences, but it's not worth sitting through unless you are a fan of bad action movies, and it certainly isn't worth owning.

Never got that at all. In fact, the film gave some pretty important roles to actors of color, women, korean women, etc. It was rather diverse in that aspect.

The film itself looked like complete trash, though. I liked the run Peter Berg was on, but always felt like he was punching above his weight. This seemed like a return to his horrible 'Battleship' days.

The guy needs to start working with someone other than one-note Wahlberg.

Probably just me but it felt like this got no marketing until literally the week it came out lol

Studio left this to die at the end of summer, and die it did.

Compared to last year, this year overall has been meh for STX Entertainment, I probably wouldn't be surprised neither if Peppermint ends up bombing as well. Lionsgate is the better of all mini-major film studios.

I’ve seen it and it’s not a stinker. Iko was amazing. The fight scenes and shoot outs are terrific.

I want to buy it on 4K so it looks like I’ll have to import it from Aus.

Very strong chance this release gets cancelled. If it does happen, Oz would be the only territory to get it - and I cannot imagine Roadshow going to the trouble of authoring 4K discs and footing that bill when their MO is sourcing 4K discs from overseas. For a movie that made $1.7M at the Australian box office, I can't see it happening.

But stranger things have happened.
