Default BD merchants near International Drive in Florida?

Hi guys

i am doing the disney thing in september and am staying on international drive
for 2 weeks, I really want to go and buy some new bd's as the exchange rate is so good. I hear walmart is a good place or would there be any shops in the florida mall?

Int'l Drive is pretty touristy, so there aren't many places there to buy Blu-rays that I know of. If you go North on I Drive past Wet and Wild to Kirkman Road, you'll eventually get to a Target somewhere around that area . . . If you take I Drive to Sand Lake Rd (right off of I4) and take Sand Lake Road east, you'll see a Wal Mart on the right hand side . . . if you keep going East, you'll eventually hit Orange Blossom Trail that is the non-touristy "main drag" in this part of Orlando. There's Best Buy, Circuit City, Florida Mall . . . pretty much anything you would want to find is on OBT. Hope this helps. I'm not from Orlando, but Tampa, but I am kind of familiar with the area if you have any other questions.

There's also a Virgin Megastore at Downtown Disney, which is just like shops that you don't have to pay to get into. It's right around the Disney area.

BStecke gave you some great info, but one place he left off is the Mall at Millenia which is just North (East on I-4) of IDrive. You will find a Target, a Circuit City right outside the mall. I've picked up some BD from both of these stores. It's all pretty close to the OBT (Orange Blossom Trail) area that he mentioned, just may be a little easier to get to. Just wanted to give you a little more info for your trip over...Enjoy Orlando.

EDIT: I've totally lost my sense of direction! SORRY!!!

EDIT 2: I've got a little map here as well. - Just don't tell Google.

Hey! I hope you enjoy your visit to my home town!

One more place I'd recommend is MovieStop. If you're staying on International Drive, take I-Drive north/east (the road goes south for a ways and then makes a 90-degree turn) to Kirkman Road, then make a left (north-bound on Kirkman). You'll have to travel past Universal Studios, a few restaurants/hotels, and Conroy Road*. Eventually, you'll spot a large entrance for "MetroWest" on the left-hand (west) side of the road. Once you pass this entrance, a lame Super Walmart (no Blu-rays) will be immediately on your left as well. The MovieStop is directly in front of this Walmart facing Kirkman. Their deals usually are the best from a retail aspect (I know a place with better prices, but I'm not going to send you to Flea World - Crazy place and the selection is limited), so I'd go there before trying to go to Best Buy or any of the other big chains. Occasionally their prices are above other retail chains, so I would probably just go in, take a look at their selection, and then check out everyone else.

* Conroy Road will take you directly to the Mall at Millenia and all of the shops in that area. Personally, I would avoid the mall itself. F.Y.E. and the Sony Style stores are the only major Blu-Ray retailers and their prices are less than desirable. Circuit City and Target are "ok". If you continue east on Conroy, you'll eventually reach Orange Blossom Trail. Go south (right) on O.B.T. and you'll eventually reach The Florida Mall on the east side of O.B.T. On the west side of O.B.T., there's a Best Buy. Their prices are "ok" as well.

Hope I didn't overwhelm you with all of that.
