Sorry, but expect region A. Criterion will usually only be able to get North American release rights for films. That's why they don't have non-english subtitles.
There is a way around region coding though I'm not sure how. Try looking up blu ray in wikipedia. I remember part of the blu ray article talking about the encoding. It'll be a start and give you good information. |

Great idea. I'm very surprised Looking for Mr. Goodbar has not gotten a DVD release. WHat's Paramount's problem with this. Slow Dancing in the Big City has never gotten a Home Video release, and not on TV, that's a worse problem than Looking For Mr. Goodbar, which actually has had a VHS/Laserdisc/Beta/CED release, just not DVD but has been on TV before. United Artists originally released Slow Dancing in the Big City, who owns this movie, i don't think MGM, It's one of the most forgotten films out there, it should be a public domain movie then. Looking for Mr. Goodbar i will always be surprised that it never got a DVD or Blu Ray release. Crusing is great too!!!

Don't know if this has been covered but I'd love to see a reissue of La Strada,on bluray, remastered with a complete English dub...as was included in the laserdisc edition. There's a gap in the audio on the current DVD edition that didn't exist on the laserdisc.
I just got Criterion's remastered "Breaker Morant" and saw just how good a remastered film can look (and sound). |

Criterion told me the have no plans to reissue The Leopard, but I can't stop wishing they would get the Fox Europe raw scan and master it in 2.20:1 (Super Technirama intended projected ratio), with color correction.
The Fox Pathe Europa BD release was in 2.55:1, which seems wrong, but I have no idea what they were doing in France in 1963. This was not a CinemaScope film, so I have no idea where they got 2.55:1. |

Night watch, Power, Wag the Dog, and Dead Presidents are definitely films that Criterion should get the license to as they deserve better and a second chance these are all films that are up Criterion’s alley. And release these films on Blu Ray
