MK Trilogy on N64 = the best MK game. Gimme a port of that and I can die a happy man

MK 9, MK 2, and MK .

Those to me are the absolute best. But I admit I have not played the new game.

Having played both versions, I must say that the version released on PS1 and Saturn was much better, with the exception of the loading times and the issues that they caused with Shang Tsung, etc. A few characters had to be removed from the N64 version due to space limitations on the cart, and the characters that were in the game had fewer frames of animation.

The N64 version did have a couple/few cool features that the PS1/Saturn version lacked (an extra fatality for Scorpion, Masked Sub-Zero having additional moves mostly because of the unmasked version being removed, 3 vs 3 battle, female Khameleon, etc.). I wouldn't mind a version based primarily on the PS1/Saturn version, but with those aspects of the N64 version added in, and of course no load times needed on modern hardware.

A remastered MK Trilogy would be so killer on PS4.

The 3v3 feature was my favorite. For awhile I’d only pick the three robots

Kinda how I feel. CD version had bosses and more characters, but I fiercely missed Scorpion's Army Fatality, which the arcade Ultimate MK3 had also.

I loved 3 vs 3, and using the "rampar combat" code at the vs screen, which made both players randomly change into different characters.

Mortal Kombat 2 is often called the best by many people. I'd have to agree. As far as the original games are concerned, 2 is the best. The soundtrack, locations, atmosphere, etc, is great. 2 has the best experiences, as far as the original games go.

I agree, but overall I’d say 9 is the all time best. Numbers 2 and 9 were the two I was most addicted to.
