Decay of Logos Is a Zelda-Like Experience Coming to PS4 on 27th August

Decay of Logos, the upcoming indie title that has drawn numerous comparisons to the likes of Dark Souls and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, finally has a confirmed release date. It comes to PS4 first on 27th August, and you can check out some new footage in the trailer above.

Pitched as an experience with a focus on exploration, combat and resource management, you're out to exact revenge upon the son of a king after he destroys your village. It's the visual design that first caught our eye last year, but it looks like there's a hefty amount of game and mechanics to go alongside that. It'll hit the PlayStation Store in less than three weeks, so we'll all have our hands on it soon enough.

This lools quite decent. Zelda BoW art style with Souls-esque gameplay. Pretty decent art direction too for an indie.

Looks like this isn't a great game with many issues. Unfortunate i think with how that trailer looked. There are dsid to be patches etc. but guess time will tell what others think too.

Yeah, the IGN review is pretty scathing I'm sure I read that the dev's are working on a patch so hopefully that irons out some of the issues.

After reading some of the review it seems like the games not very well optimised and oatch should sort of the framerate and other glitches. On PS5 none of those loading or framerate problems should be an issue at all given the extra horsepower of next gen would allow pretty much a locked 60fps but bad frame timing can and does be an issue on poor optimisations.

I feel like the other UI and game mechanic complaints could also be patched but times will tell. I applaud the efforts of the indie to create the looks etc. but i also sometimes wonder who did the QA and how they don't realise all these bugs and glitches are in the game but then i see AAA releases come out with some absolutely shocking stuff of their own too at times.
