Default NBC's "Saturday Night Live" (Season 41)

Season premiere with Meghan Fox just ended, it was Ok but not a strong episode. The Weekend update was especially weak, Seth Meyers really needs someone to play off of, he just can't swing it solo. Musical guest U2 seemed kinda boring too, they should have played one of their hits instead of their new crap. The digital shorts were of course funny. overall i'd give it a 7/10

Best part of the show was new cast memeber Jenny Slate Dropping the F-Bomb in the biker chicks sketch, her face after she realized what she said was priceless. Kristen Wigg didn't let it phase her at all, the sketch could have easily fallen apart but besides Slates akward face after she said it, it wasn't really acknowledged from the cast or studio audience (the whole sketch had them saying "Friggin" so people not paying attention may have mised it)... still though I wonder how long before she's fired

For anyone that missed the F-bomb, the clip is currently up on youtube several times (although who knows for how long)

I haven't really found SNL to be funny in almost 20 years. They have so smiley moments but funny, like it use to be in the 70's early 80's, it's been a long long time

Anybody watching tonight?

What is Lady Gaga's deal with the outifits, it was pretty funny when she bonked herself in the head with the rings and then when they got in her way when she played the paino...although she recovered pretty good

Overall, it was a pretty crappy episode, they didn't use Ryan Renoylds nearly enough. He has great comedy timing and they treated him like an athelete host they just stick in a sketch for the sake of it

Best joke of thenight was definetly the Ee-yore suicide joke on weekend update

I thought it was pretty good tonight. But yes, Lady Gaga needs to get a clue. She's a pretty girl with a good voice, but she presents herself as a novelty act. It's unfortunate.

I liked the weekend report about the olympics

Another crappy episode. So far this season they aren't using the hosts in sketches hardly at all.

I'd have to disagree, the show is alot better then it was in the late 90's/early 2000 and the current cast has several bright spots

Andy samberg (along with comedy partner and writer Jorma Tacone) have pumped some much needed energy into the show with their Digital short seqments and Kristen Wigg is probabaly the funniest female performer the show has ever had. Not to mention Bill hader is one of the best impresionists the show has seen and Fred armisan, jason sudenkis and will forte are much better at playing "the everyman" then most of the cast in the 80's and 90's were making them much better at selling a sketch without having to resort to lame characters (of course they do have their share, lol). The one thing lacking is a more ethnic cast, especially when it comes to Black comedians, Keanan thompson is forced to play 95 percent of black characters (even though he's fat) and the other 5 percent are played by fred armison who is actually asian.

In my opinion SNL is on a peak right now, not the best the show has ever been, but still in a good place

Best internet way to show your coolness?

Let everyone know that SNL isn't as funny now as it used to be.

I started doing that in Season Two, so ya'll can tell how cool I am.

Yes, but it was rather limited by today's standards. It was dial up and you could only connect to one person at a time and only audio was transmitted. The slang term for it was "The Phone".

Ah, the "Tape Drive" generation... funny story, I used to have one of those for a Commodore 64.

It really was, but at least it showed that she made an honest mistake, when the F-bomb was droped by charles rockett in the 80's and norm macdonald in the 90's neither of them seemed to care that they had said it...Jenny slate appeared to have made an honest mistake tonight and she probabaly got yelled at off stage during the commercial break ans perhaps may be fired (Lorne Micheals is nortorious for not putting up with stuff like that)

probabaly one of the worst first days on the job, lol

That was some funny crap. I don't think she'll get too much slack. I actually thought they put a 5 second delay in after Norm dropped it years ago. I guess not.

I actually didn't see the episode and haven't watched much since they let Horatio Sanz go. There have been a few bright spots, like the digital shorts, but last season overall was pretty weak.

The show goes in spurts, so maybe this is just a dry spell.
