I didn't even know The Prestige was out in UHD. Now that it's OOP it makes me want it, lol. Guess I'll have to make do with my HD DVD disc.

Thanks for starting this thread, but why is The Prestige listed as Warner when the link clearly says Disney/Buena Vista?

Thanks for making this thread. It will be really helpful for people just now adopting this format, and in the future, in terms of seeing what they can or cannot get their hands on, as far as earlier releases on the format.

You can still get it for a pretty reasonable price from amazon.co.uk. It’s just Disney who vanished it stateside.

Question for the PQ experts. Haven’t picked up The Prestige, should I go for the US or U.K. version at this point? and Why?

Import it from Amazon UK while you can.

Get the U.K. version from Amazon while still in stock. It's the same master and encode on the Disney and WB UHD Blu's as WB did both.

I’ve picked up Prestige as one of my first UHDs. I hadn’t upgraded from dvd so no brainer. Seems a lucky choice.

Anyways, point is. Uk market has these and UHD is region free so no excuses to it own this if you really want to.

Only piece of advice to any who’d like but put off cause it costs a bit more to import. The next mainstream blockbuster you want. Wait a month. Enjoy what you have. The $10 inevitable price drop will cover something you may not get hold of again. Once it’s gone it’s gone. eBay excluded

With The Prestige, at least, it was about the same getting it from the U.S. with tax or the U.K. given the exchange rate and shipping to the U.S.

Disney mostly never changed the price from $30 unlike WB with the rest of the Nolan titles... and they wonder why it just sat on the shelves...

I don't see Harry Potter being OOP yet especially with a new film on the horizon. Plus why would the first movie become OOP while the rest aren't?
