USA Ted Lasso - The Complete Series Blu-ray (2020-2023)

The excellent sports comedy series Ted Lasso, which originally streamed on Apple TV+, will be getting a Complete Series Blu-ray collection from Warner on July 30th. I'll post updates when more details come in. A previous thread was made for this, but info was removed. I'm now able to corroborate his source with my own. Update: The series is headed to 4K on November 11, 2025.

While I quite enjoyed season 1 I thought this got progressively worse with each subsequent season and 3 was truly dire, but I must say once again that I am always happy to see streaming stuff get a physical release!

Yeah I liked season 3 the least, got too self aware.

A really wonderful series and even through a COVID production, it does a great job!

This is potentially a page to watch: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2JYSSY9

(it won't show a single thing right now if you're wondering)

A Canadian distributor site now has it listed: https://b2b.dealsareus.ca/ted-lasso-...series-blu-ray

The US MSRP looks like it'll be $84.99

It’s great that it’s receiving a physical release but considering the high quality of the Apple TV+ stream (Dolby Vision + Atmos). I feel like the Blu Ray may actually be a step down in quality. This really deserved to be a 4K release.

Would've been nice, especially considering it's WB and WB is the frontrunner for TV on 4K... but not surprising that it isn't getting one. Unless the 4K ends up being MOD or something.

Did it slide in quality from season to season? Yes. But even when it was "bad" it was still good. I'll definitely pick it up, I don't have ATV+ all the time.

Blu ray is great and few shows get a 4K release. The market for this on 4K would be pretty small.

I agree but Apple is so new when it comes to physical media. I’m tempted to hold out and see if they’ll make the show available in 4k on iTunes.

It didn't take long for a 4K comment to pop up. I'm not sure why many don't get that 4K is not viable for most tv shows. Add to that how good Blu ray looks.

It's the fact that shows are always talked about being better than movies a lot of the time ("golden age of television" and whatnot) but then it's always downgraded. Like how a show is filmed and broadcast in HD but then only released on DVD, now something like this that was in 4K only gets a BD. This is WB, they could've easily done a 4K MOD set, then they won't have to worry about tons of leftover stock.

It still costs money and there is no way that they don't already have data to back their decisions to release titles on various formats.

Very exciting, great show. Glad to see a streamer releasing their originals on Blu-ray. Hopefully Apple does the same when Mythic Quest ends.
