Grrr Sinclair you try your best not to get all political but of all thing Sinclair might as well bring OANN to cable with their far-right news. This also shows how NBC is not about viewers but more about their own benefit.

Show me a company that isn't interested in making money, and I'll show you an out-of-business company. I'm not fond of Sinclair either, but let's be realistic here. If NBC is looking to sell, and Sinclair is willing to buy, NBC is not going to turn their money down.

Comcast (owners of NBC/Universal) was already closing shop on the national NBC Sports Network. Divestiture of the NBC RSN's will raise the cash needed so Comcast can upgrade their delivery method via FTTP or DOCSIS 4.0. Obviously they saw what AT&T got divesting Warner and feel the RSN's are a cash cow they can be rid of....

Then there's this.....

Which in essence give Comcast an "out" if they decide to forego TV service delivery entirely and focus on only delivering the internet...going the way of FiOS, Verizon has partnered with You Tube TV in some markets instead of their own TV delivery. Kinda hard to go "internet only" when you OWN a TV broadcast network (NBC).
