This too has been restored, and is available to watch in streaming UHD. Are we getting it on 4K UHD disc or what? Hell, I'd take it even if it were only released on Blu-ray.

It is an iTunes exclusive and there are no plans to release it on any disc format.

Unfortunately this is becoming a trend. 20,000 leagues, Lawrence of Arabia and all of the Bond films in 4k are only available right now through streaming!

Really?! Are those "UHD" versions iTunes only? Only use VUDU when I rent, so am not up on what's available on the other platforms.

20,000 Leagues has not even been announced yet for 4K.

Daniel Craig Bond films are coming to 4K. They are also available through Amazon Prime, iTunes, and Epix.

Just watched the 4K stream of this. The surround sound and DV color grading felt kind of odd in a film of this vintage, but the restoration is still quite impressive.

Since this doesn’t appear to be getting a new 4K disc of its own, perhaps whenever Spielberg’s War of the Worlds gets its UHD this one can be added as a bonus.

This is currently only 99 cents to rent (1080p) on Vudu. 4K is also available.

This is an excellent restoration! Great colors and contrast, and not a spec or scratch to be seen. It probably has had some noise reduction since there was very little grain, but projected on a 100" screen the over-all detail on the 1080p picture was quite good. I noticed too that most of the wires supporting the ships have been digitally removed.

Where is the blu-ray? I have a hard time imagining that a beautiful restoration like this is just for streaming on some service. I've never seen the film look so good - day 1 purchase when and if it gets released!
