I know 4K Blu ray discs are considered a niche market, so naturally not every film on earth will be put on the format, but I still think there's a lot of great movies that have been released thus far.
One area where I think the format could improve is more TV series coming out on 4K discs. As it stands, the only series out on 4K discs include Westworld, Game of Thrones, BBC documentaries, and limited edition releases of Stranger Things. TV shows are still released on boxsets these days. I realize a lot of shows do not have high production values, but a bump in resolution and HDR/WCG would do a lot of shows some good. Doctor Who, Grey's Anatomy, the Arrowverse shows, Shameless, The Office, Supernatural, Outlander, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, etc.--- WHY SHOULDN'T THESE SHOWS BE ON 4K DISC? |

I can't think of any TV show I would want to own on 4K. Blu Ray is just fine for TV imo. A lot of shows haven't even made it to BR yet.

Right now I'm working on getting through my DVR that has become 70%+ filled during the last 5 months of NFL football. I'm more concerned with getting through content, and shows getting HD releases. Many of the shows I'd want on disc in 4K HDR wouldn't even sell enough units to make things worthwhile for the publishers. Like Mr. Robot and Better Call Saul which are two of my current favorites. |

I’m genuinely surprised that the most recent series of Doctor Who bypassed Ultra HD Blu-ray, given the 4K releases of Twice Upon a Time and the first series of Sherlock.

I probably wouldn't buy most 4K releases, I'd have to REALLY love a show to pay that much for it. |

I would love for Lost to arrive on 4K disc. It’s such a cinematic series and the score by Michael Giacchino would be cool in Atmos.
Generally though, I think most series don’t really need 4K releases. To the OP: I know you mentioned The Office but I would be thrilled just to have every season on Blu-ray! |

I'm more concerned with truncated quality experiences that we actually have the time and money to consume and publicly support. Cheaper prices on movies, cheaper OLED televisions, and the launch of the PS5 (a UHD player) should increase the size of the install base and create opportunities for additional high-quality content in the future.
If a bunch of shows launched on UHD disc right now that would just cause confidence in the format to dissipate due to alarmingly low sales. Of course I'd want everything I like to be sold on UHD but that isn't realistic in the least; I'm more concerned with the health of the format. |

Anything with really great sets and costumes... I'm thinking Hannibal would benefit from the upgrade. I also agree with aforementioned Expanse. Some BBC period pieces would be nice. And assuming some miracle where the Negatives were found: Farscape, S.G.-1, and classic Doctor who (particularly the first 4 Docs.) Fringe would be great in 4K just to see Anna Torv in all her 4K glory
