First game was great, sounds and looks like they've made a lot of improvements!

I had the first one, not a big fan of this game but the new one does look good.

well movies3 in the first game you play the role of a FBI agent investagating a serial killer know as the match maker while checking out his latest crime scene you are knocked out and a unsub steals your gun and you end up getting framed for the murder of two police officers

then you go on to find the guy and solve the big mystery. its A FPS with some small clue finding simple mini games. Although its a FPS guns and ammo are barely around if you find a gun you only get whats in the clip so most of the time you are picking up melee weapons and fighting hobos.

Its a short game but its very good , very dark and creepy .

from what iv'e read you take up the role of ethan (the fbi agent) again after the events of the first game but your washed out and very messed up from the events of the first game.

If a tramp swings to hit you and hits one of his 'mates' instead they start fighting each other. The attack animations are very OTT so it's good fun to watch.

The first one was great. Its not to much about a game. Its alot about the horror and being scared it it really does the job. The first one had great graphics and this one looks stunning.
I'm looking forwad to this one!

BTW. Has anyone heard if they're gonna make a new silent hill for ps3???

Sad to see this game isn't also on the pc this time around. As fine as consoles are for some games, first person shooters just don't work as well on a controller versus a mouse & keyboard.

Maybe later on they'll port it over. Maybe.

I honestly couldn't play with a mouse and keyboard. The PS3 control is no doubt the best console to use FPS. I've heard alot of people say a keyboard and mouse is better so I wont include PC's lol.

You rarely shot anything in the original, for melee weapon fighting it's probably more comfortable to use a controller. I could see them doing great things with SIXAXIS and touchsense feedback support.

Hell yeah that would be great. I have an idea. You have to keep the control steady while playing to keep quiet. One faulse move and your cought!

I was thinking more along the lines of pushing tramps off if you lock melee weapons together (thrust in the direction you want to shift them) and you could even guard against attacks by pulling back on the controller like soul-pullouts in Folklore.
