I enjoyed the article, especially this part; "I don’t think most Americans trust the reliability of hard disks to store their movie collections. And I don’t know about you, but I’m not comfortable with the stability and reliability of any Microsoft operating system. I agree. I was going to point that out. If he is going to count it to claim Blu-ray has way more players out there, then it isn't fair to not count it when looking at things for sale on those sites. Now I am assuming that he didn't count PS3s for ebay and craigslist, since I'm pretty sure there would be quite a few of them on there and those ratios wouldn't look like that.

Sorry everyone (no I'm not), but at first I thought that would make a great signature and realized that no one else had posted the link so I couldn't resist.

I think it would be classic, and not unlike the typical HDDVD supporter, if they actually started using that 6.4 to 1 number as a sign that they're "winning the format war" or a sign that they're "making a come back!"

Dan Ramer over at DVDFile is one of the guys that has had a clear view of the situation from the beginning. I like how he doesn't sugarcoat numbers for either side, and how he pulls pertinent information together to present a cohesive and persuasive article.

A good read, and while it doesn't reveal anything new, it certainly underpins many of the themes we've seen in the past couple of weeks.

What a scare.
I don't think I'm ready to trade a bit starved download for a BD50. I don't have 1TB of disk space to store them on eather.
