Default Has anyone been having slow internet connections during this pandemic?

It's really annoying. Not only does it go slow when I browse through the web, but both my Hulu and HBOMAX services keep buffing. What gives?

My internet is trash 24/7 365. I tried watching The Boys in 4K on Amazon Video last night and it went back and forth between SD and 4K every 20 seconds, no exaggeration.

Well I have definitely noticed a slow down since the start of this thing but not horrible in my area. I think just the amount of people stuck home using a stream service has really taxed our infrastructure is the problem.

We’ve had reliable internet for the most part both with Spectrum and ATT LTE on the phones.

Roku over here goes in and out, especially around 11 PM.

Okay, I think I fixed it. All I had to do was reset the internet for a minute or two, now everything runs more smoothly.

Still, I did hear from somewhere that with everyone being "isolated", the internet goes slower for some people.

Same here with Spectrum, my wife says her ROKU acts up most nights between 9 to 11:30. Our internet doesn’t seem to be the culprit though, Wi-Fi and gaming (by son) doesn’t seem affected.

Yes the internet has been bogged down with all the people being at home so bandwidth has suffered for some. I usually get around 90Mbps but I was getting 5Mbps on a good day. Had to call my company numerous times to get it fixed.

RCN has always been great for me. However, they like to keep raising my bill and give me a hard time about lowering it. But their internet has always worked great for me and never experience any slowdown. In the five years I've been using them, I only had one outage. Though their rip off rate that's ever increasing might force me to drop them one day and switch to Spectrum.

DSL still exists? I don't think regular phone lines are still available in my area, so I don't even think DSL is an option for me.

With the exception of satellite (which sucks) DSL is all we can get out here in the woods.

I hope that since I’m just several miles from the Verizon ISP office that someday they’ll run fiber but every time I ask about it they just chuckle.

The funny thing is people have cable less than a mile away but the company refuses to run a line down my road Because of so few houses.
