Interesting-I still have a bunch of my old 2600 cartridges. I might be one of the few people who would actually get this.

Gotta admit that this is tempting.

While there's only a handful of Atari games I would consistently play on this, at $130.00, it's not a bad splurge for nostalgia's sake.

I’ve been waiting to see all of the info. The list of compatible games is the best I’ve seen on any of these type machines. I have quite a bit of 2600 and 7800 games (Superman and Raiders of the Lost Ark were some of my favorites). Some are third-party games from Activision (Stampede, Kaboom, Keystone Kapers) and others. It would be great to revisit. Not sure if I’ll get it immediately or way for a sub-$100 price point. Hope it turns out good.

and it comes with a game cartridge with 4 games on it. I wish that cartridge had Circus Atari on it, though.

Was RealSports Volleyball the one where if you played long enough you had the shark's fin going across the top of the screen?

Of the 10 included games, I think that and Missile Command are the only two I had.

Still remember the likes of Kangaroo, Berzerk and Battlezone fondly though

I'd like to see some third parties release compilation carts but it isn't likely, I would totally buy an Activision or Parker Bros. collection on cart.

Still have an original 2600 and about 60 games. Maybe with this new one coming out I can get adapters and play it on a big screen again?

I got an email directly from atari today that my pre-order will be shipped out the first week of Dec-not yesterday when the game was actually released. Needless to say this is dissapointing.

Lucky-I will have mine after the second week of Dec-hopefully. I have got about 50 carts off of ebay, so far-so I will have a TON of games waiting for the system.

In the meantime I'd recommend cleaning them out with rubbing acohol and q-tips. Some of the ones I got from eBay needed a thorough cleaning before they'd play and I was getting impatient with the game load failed screen

All the games that I got off of ebay have already been cleaned and tested-I made sure of that. I just have to wait for them to arrive over the next 2 weeks before the system eventually arrives.

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago and I love it. So far all the carts I've picked up here and there over the last couple of months have worked so looking forward to grabbing more!

Agreed-I wish it wasn't an emulator system either-that it would load directly from the cartidge itself-but at least we have this-and since everyone else has one but me-when did everyone else order theirs?

I wish Atari would put out a similar piece of hardware for the 5200. Its awful joysticks have hampered a system that has incredible hardware and near arcade quality games for the time.
A 5200+ console that emulates the games, and pairs it with either properly made 5200 joysticks, or convert it to DB9 connectors. So we can use 2600 joysticks, or Sega Genesis controllers! Would be incredibly fun!

But maybe there just is not enough nostalgia for the 5200 nowadays to justify the cost
