Fox Pathe Europa are set to release Kagemusha in the Gallic markets on October 5th.

I wonder how it will compare with the Criterion Blu-ray.

Probably bad since we always had the International cut version in France (and always on very bad releases, technically speaking).

Sorry for resurrecting a very old thread, but has anyone had any problems with this release? I've just bought and watched it and I noticed two slight "glitches" - they were not repeated when I rewinded the film and played the same moment again. Then I remembered that there had been some problems with old faulty French discs and I just wanted to check if this release is also susceptible to this kind of thing.
