@teddyballgame, serious PC gamers want LG's 2019 OLED TV to get the full 48 Gbps.

@Win Slow, LG and all dealers are sold out of C9s, but we're upgrading our clients to LG's E9 that has all of the C9 features, plus the upgraded built-in audio system and elegant "Picture on Glass" design.

Every year we get incremental improvements and upgrades.

In addition to advancements in the video processing, starting with the 2018 model year, LG Display and LG Electronics developed and integrated several technologies to reduce the possibility of image retention and burn-in.

In 2019 and even further on 2020 LG Display and LG Electronics have added more updates and improved the resistance to static image burn-in on the OLED module.

Congrats on your C9 purchase!

I suggest selecting the ISF Bright picture mode for high ambient light viewing and ISF Dark for nighttime for low ambient light conditions.

I don't recommend using calibration setting from another C9 as all TVs vary from sample to sample.

Thank you so much ! I have been playing with the settings non stop since i picked it up. I am trying to find the difference between this set and my previous LG 55UH8500. They Look pretty close to me so far but maybe it's because the tv is still new.

It can take a couple of hundred hours for an OLED to settle down so it's probably worth just sticking with the presets for a little bit.

How are you finding daytime viewing with the OLED? something like the UH8500 could struggle with the brightest rooms, are you maxing out the backlight?

Are the differences between the CX and C9 all that different (I don't have either at this point)? I was thinking of getting CX 65in for my living room, but just not sure if it's worth it.

The UH8500 struggled in any room. I hated mine. Waste of money. Dimming was so bad I wished I could turn it off, couldn't because without it backlight bloom was very obvious. This was on 2 different sets as I took the first back. I wish I'd had the sense to replace with a different TV at the time.

You'll find the difference is night and day in a darkened room. The settings however, which I think you mean, follow largely the same pattern with just new things like OLED Panel settings and Dynamic Tone Mapping options.

The newer LG LCDs seem to have gotten brighter, but not much else.

@drobswim13, LG's 65" CX is so very much worth the current $2,397 all in delivered promotional price.

So you think it would be worth the extra $200? I can get a C9 65 inch for $2150 but for $2350 I can get the CX.

I don't mind spending the money but if they are the same then I don't want to throw away $200.

Yes, LG's 2020 CX Series has the new a9 Gen 3 processor with better up-conversion, better motion resolution and better near black uniformity and shadow detail.

We've been working with LG on a few enhancements for the CX that we expect in near future firmware updates.
