We just got our first look at the new 4K restoration of DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS and it's absolutely stunning! Scanned from the recently discovered original camera negative, with sumptuous color grading supervised and approved by Director Harry Kümel. All prior transfers were from 35mm prints, so this one is a truly significant upgrade. More news soon...

I didn’t realize the previous BD was sourced from a print. It looked gorgeous itself! This is a guaranteed purchase from me.

I'm content with my old BU copy since the movie doesn't have much re-watchability for me. Great news for true fans of this movie though! And BU is awesome for churning these restorations out at a healthy clip!

I do hope The Prowler is next due for the BU 4K restoration upgrade.

I like what I am reading BU!
All prior transfers were from 35mm prints, so this one is a truly significant upgrade.

I hope Blue Underground will look into the possibility of releasing Kümel's next film,
MALPERTUIS. It's even quirkier than DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS.

Yes! That's exactly what I was thinking with this one's announcement. I still have that great 2-disc DVD release from Barrel.

cool. was expecting this one. wanted to order their original release of daughters of darkness on their site a few sales ago, and someone from the site emailed me stating that it was out of stock and no longer going to be in print because of a newer release coming soon.

I have all of the BU re-releases but I'm going to pass on this one. I own the old copy and it has "The Blood Spattered Bride" which was re-released by Mondo Macabro. Still, this is a worthy get if you enjoy vampire films and Delphine Seyrig. She is dynamite in this movie.
