More Tarantino is always good in my book. I'd actually like to see a standalone Zorro movie by Tarantino, but this will do nicely.

Fun fact: This, QT’s other films, the Shaft franchise, and the Back to the Future franchise are all in the same universe. We all know about QT’s cinematic universe, he also said that Django is Shaft’s ancestor, and A Million Ways To Die in the West connected Django with BTTF. Also BTTF connects with The Simpsons because of the rides (the Institute Of Future Tech is now Krustyland). The Simpsons connects with The Critic, 24, The X-Files, Family Guy, King of the Hill, American Dad!, Cleveland Show, and South Park (Mr. Hankey moves to Springfield in the last season).

QT also said recently that he's working on an extended cut of Django Unchained. Wonder if the new footage will include something that ties into this, but I doubt it. (I read the screenplay years ago, before the movie came out, but for the life of me can't remember anything remotely to do with Zorro.)

I decided to read the graphic novel after after I heard about this. Not one to read graphic novels but made an exception for this.
Wonder who will play Zorro? Antonio Banderas could be an option. He’s right at about the age of Don Diego de la Vega but that could cause confusion with Banderas’ other Zorro movies where that character was played by Anthony Hopkins. One option could be Demian Bichir. He’s already worked with Tarantino on The Hateful Eight. I also doubt Tarantino directs this but it seems like it would be perfect for Robert Rodriguez. |

Man, call me grumpy old fart but that sounds about as interesting as having root canal work with no novocaine. And certainly more painful. I could be wrong, but is the best that Hollywood has to offer?

I quite liked DU, I'm intrigued where QT will take this next one. One gripe I have the first is that I wish Dr. King Schultz had lived, to see more of the duo.
