Evangelion 3.33: YOU CAN (NOT) REDO from Deltamac

So it looks like Eva 3.33 is finally coming out with English subs.

I, for one, can't wait. This isn't IVL like 2.22, and they're using a BD50, so there might not be a need to get the FUNi release whenever it comes out, like last time. For those who don't know, the Hong Kong Asia Video release of 2.22 was on a BD25 and had noticeably worse video quality than the Japanese and FUNi releases.

I'm not sold on buying from there though, as I've experienced VERY long shipping times from them and other Hong Kong stores lately. Once on eBay, twice with Play-Asia and once from Yes-Asia. We're talking three to eight weeks. Will I have to just suck it up and pay for FedEx and then take the obligatory customs hit, or is there some other way?

I've never used them, but i've heard good things. Although if customs is your worry stick with YesAsia.

It took over three weeks for Olympus Has Fallen to get here from Yes-Asia. Eva 3.33 can not wait that long

When I ordered Kiki and Only Yesterday from DDDHouse earlier this year, they sat on my order for nearly two weeks before shipping it out. I haven't run into customs problems ordering HK Ghibli Blu-rays from there.

How do you know it has English subtitles? The Play Asia page says Chinese?

The Blu-ray.com page says English subs. So does the DDDHouse product page.

Still, without confirmation from an owner or the distributor.. you can't really be sure.

Think I will go with DDDHouse, my last order was sent a few days after I placed it and arrived in less than a week with no customs issues.

I've been waiting nearly a week for DDDHouse to ship out my latest order. At HK$695 including shipping you'd think they'd notice it. The last time I ordered it took them 11 days to act and when I ordered Totoro it was 16 days.

It's the day of release (long past in Hong Kong I guess) and I don't know if this Eva 3.33 release has actually come out.

On another forum (Fandom Post), people were saying that the HK BD has been pushed back a couple of weeks. Doesn't appear to be released yet.

YesAsia have it down as being released on September 12th.

Mine shipped the other day. If it goes like it usually does, it might leave Hong Kong friday or early next week. I'll be a lot busier over the next few weeks than I usually am, so I decided to save over $20 and not care exactly how quickly I got it. The very negative comments as to the quality of the movie help as well I'll just adjust my expectations for when I watch it.

Yep, it's normal with YA. Expect it around 14 - 18 days after shipping confirmation (if you are on free delivery).

Well it will be 18 days tomorrow since it was sent out, still for £21 I guess I cant really complain.
