Default Ridley Scott vs Peter Jackson

One operates in the fantasy genre and the other in the sci-fi genre. Which one do you prefer?

Scott hasn't made I film I've really liked since Blade Runner.

F**k it, I'm going with Jackson. I just dig his taste and sensibilities more and every film of his, is unquestionably a Peter Jackson film. Scott is a class act and has made a few of the best films ever made, but he can also just make mundane films that are indistinguishable from anyone else (A Good Year, G.I. Jane, 1492, etc.).

Peter Jackson. I love the LOTR and Hobbit movies, as well as King Kong and The Frighteners.

Although Ridley Scott is awesome for Alien franchise, Blade Runner, Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator and Hannibal.

It really came down to preference of the movies and what I tend to watch more often.

I do miss the days when Jackson made stuff like Meet the Feebles, Bad Taste, Dead Alive, and Heavenly Creatures.

For me it's Scott, by a country mile.

Blade Runner, Alien and American Gangster are better than anything Jackson has put out.

This is a tough call. Jackson makes the kind of stuff I like, King Kong and Mortal Engines were great, Scott I'm less keen on but has Gladiator and Exodus which I thought were both excellent. I'm torn.
