![]() ![]() No Way Home is fun nostalgia bait. Nothing more. It's good at what it does and is focused for an MCU film, overall, but there's no comparison. Snyder's film is a genuinely individualistic work of an artist expressing himself within the confines of the mythology. |

Nah. Neither film was really that terrific. Though No Way Home is better, it was not nor did it feel like a proper event. It suffers a little from something that I would not quite call fan service. I think those bits are really good, but I don't know that it works well within the story framing. it sort of feels forced. As though the suits/director/whoever wanted to do something big and different, but didn't have the story gelled enough to justify it. Giving it that impression of fan service, when I don't think that was the intent. it sort of feels gimmicky instead of genuine. Still, a great movie though. Snyder's Justice League is equally impressive but fails to really cohere and congeal into a tight AND complete whole movie. The DCEU movies suffer the same as many comic book movies these days. They have gone vastly astray from their roots. The DCEU just never quite caught fire enough for most to see past the flaws as they do with the others. |

I am surprised that what many on this form consider to be one of the greatest achievements in the history of cinema and Snyder’s life’s work is losing to just another marvel popcorn entertainer.

A 4-hour ego trip is one of the greatest achievements in cinematic history? What have you been smoking? Cause you may need to lay off it.

I did read what you wrote. It sounds like you are on team Snyder. I could well be wrong though. I get very confused very easily. I get lost in my own house.

Spider-Man: No Way Home. It's a better movie with superior storytelling, but has flatter cinematography (like most of the MCU movies).
Zack Snyder's Justice League would've worked better if he had focused on just completing the movie he had shot back in the day and find the best possible way to tell the story, instead of the 'go for broke, I'll put in everything, and add stuff that wasn't even planned and will disrupt emotional scenes, and teases to a sequel that'll never get made' approach. |
