Beyond profile 2.0 - Blu-ray Forum

Will there be anything after profile 2.0? Is that the final absolute profile? If not does anyone have any ideas for a better profile? What would make you happy to see included?

Profile 3.0 will read your mind, determine which movie would best suit your emotional state, and automatically play that movie.

Profile 3.0 is actually an audio only version of Blu-ray... might take over where SACD and DVD-A failed?

isnt organic layered blu-ray disc also coming this year? with new lasereye's and what not, makes the disc easy to manufacture in existing DVD plants

I've heard there is a little difference between CD and DVD-A from what I've heard. I only own 1 DVD-A, and the advantage is it does 5.1 sound. My CD somewhat can't.... but if I have to choose DVD-A, SACD, CD, or BD-A, then my choice would be the goodly old CD

As far as I know, only profiles up to 2.0 have been released to the public.

No more profiles, period.
It would be a really stupid mistake to keep the profile game going as it was one of blu's glaring weak points.
Profile 1.0 users getting hosed and then 1.1 users getting hosed is bad enough, there is no reason to do it again.
