Default Samsung Day Cal/Night Cal setting.

This is a feature on newer Samsung models that is only available by going through the service menu.

My question is what it this setting and what does it do?

TIA

Samsung's Cal Day and Cal Night modes are professional calibration modes that have been available for several years. They are activated in the service menu, but after activation all of the settings are available in the user menu.

The professional calibrator has the option to lock the Cal Day and Cal Night values so they can't accidentally be changed.

I've read were a lot of people have unlocked the modes themselves. What's the risk run in unlocking them and or advantages gained?

Yes you can enable the Cal Day and Cal Night modes through the service menu, but without professional the test and measurement equipment, proper calibration software and a lot of knowledge on video science and how to operate the software and hardware you will not have any benefit.

If you want to give your new Samsung a tune up without hiring a professional calibrator I suggest using the Movie mode and putting in all of the values from http://www.CNET.com and or http://www.TweakTV.com

Hello guise,
Recently I wanted to change few options in my QE49Q70R QLED TV. This is only 60Hz panel.
In my opinion the colours of this TV are .....inaccurate. The faces looks kinda reddish and grass look like a green field....
I lower te colour and disable contrast enhancements but the picture looks ....faint.

But my question is ......Can I put this options ON in SECRET MENU without harming TV?
Flickerless - I wanto to enable extra clear motion setting....
Blurr reduction - What is acutually doing this option . I want extra blurr reduction....
HDR Plus Support - Is this option add and extra HDR option in picture menu ? I have read that it tries to convert SDR content into HDR standard.

What other option is it worth to change to get better functions and picture?
Thank you.
Sorry for my language
