Are there any MST3K fans out there? I searched for a thread but didn't see one. Anyone collecting the dvd's? The movie on blu-ray from Shout!? Lastly.... the fact that MST3K is mounting a comeback on Kickstarter? It's matched the initial goal of $2 million to fund 3 new episodes for a new season but still it aiming to reach $5.5 for a full 12 episode season. I wanted this thread to talk about the series and just mention it's coming back. Anyone still interested in more seasons?

Some of my favorite MST3K's were the Thanksgiving Marathon's they had. I loved the series from the Comedy Central days right through to the end on Sci-Fi Channel.

I backed the kickstarter the day it was announced. Will be looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

Same here! I'm just happy that Joel never gave up on it! It was my "go to" during my college years. All this kickstarter did was make me realize I needed to get off my duff and finish my dvd collection.... Even my wife expressed interest in watching my collection with me. I'm curious to see how the new host will do, but I think he'll do good.

I wished I could have gave money but too many other things.

There will be a Turkey Day marathon on Shout TV. Which I get with the Pluto TV app along with the MST3K channel.

Been a huge fan of MST3k all my life. I'm ecstatic that it's coming back! I haven't watched an episode in a couple of years though. Now I know what I'll be doing all week

I remember some felt the same when Mike became host, but it took a couple episodes to dispel the fear about Joel not being host....I'm willing to give the new guy a chance!

My first MST3000 memories were not the actual show but the syndicated Hour that had Michael Nelson as the old guy. It came on really late. I was just a kid. I never realized it was him until years later.

The minimum goal for 3 episodes has been reached, which is cool. As far as the new cast goes, while I love the original hosts, I can see that it's time to pass the torch. All the original guys are getting up there a bit in age, and they all have their own version of live riffing shows, which seems to be working out okay. It'd be great if they got enough money to make a full season. That level of interest from the public would pretty much guarantee more seasons, which I'd love to see.

Anyway, I've been enjoying the show on my dvd sets lately! I'm very eager to see the new season. We might have a chance at seeing the original KTMA episodes if a stretch goal is met by the end of Turkey Day. Which, a great many of the hardcore fans would love to see.

Don't forget Turkey Day MST3K marathon is streaming!

It's going to be a lot of fun! My wife asked if we were doing James Bond again, like we do, every year..... maybe we'll have a MSTie marathon. She said she'd watch it! Then again, she's teasing me about babbling on about the kickstarter!

It's pretty cool, huh? I wish there was a way to get the word out to an even larger audience. Since the Turkey Day Marathon isn't on cable anymore, it's limited to people who have probably already heard of the Kickstarter through the internet. Mark Hamill tweeted about his support, which was nice. I'm pulling for them to make it to a full season.

The Turkey Day marathon today was fantastic. My dad was introduced and he enjoyed it as well! There was a song by a fan at the end that would bring tears to a grown man's eye.

Little update on the new season front. We're currently at 6 episodes on the new season, closing on 9....and the goal is 12 episodes. If you like the show or love it, do yourself a favor and check out the resurrection of MST3K. Great to see the Kickstarter doing so well. I think the only movie or video related Kickstarter that has done better is the one for Veronica Mars. It should end up at 4.4 million which would fund 9 episodes, but 6 are guaranteed.

Did anyone here watch this year's Turkey Day Marathon? Jonah Ray co-hosted it with Joel. Looking forward to the revival of this series. They make bad movies great. I watched a couple of the films they showed. Pumaman and The Pod People. Both hilarious. Does anyone know all the six movies that were selected this year? I can't seem to find that out (beyond the two I caught).
