Warner Bros Mad Max: Fury Road 3D Blu-ray (2015) [Region Free]

I swear i started a thread for this movie but i can't find it. New trailer came out yesterday and it really is one of the best trailers I've ever seen!

http://www.joblo.com/movie-news/mad-...-fury-road-331

It also confirms what we had heard that is indeed being released in 3D .

This is my most anticpated movie of all time, more than the next Star Wars or Terminator, for me Mad Max was always the greatest character. I cannot believe i am going to get a new Mad Max movie, and in 3D too, and that it looks as good as it does. Seriously the images in this trailer are just stunning. That shot towards the end of Max on the pole swinging past frame as that truck explodes in the background, that's going to look so amazing in 3D!

It's my most anticipated film for next year too. George Miller knows how to direct action. I love the shot of the guy jumping into the car holding the spears. Can't wait for this!

Cool

Ripley18711: Just in case, for youtube 3D, just type in "3D" on the youtube site and it should let you know how to set it up in anaglyph 3D red/cyan or stereo 3D if you use a 3DTV or 3D monitor to watch.

The trailer looks very cool for action in Mad Max Fury Road, agreed. These films are usually light on story and heavy on action and atmosphere, but still enjoyable entertainment IMO. The 3D will hopefully kick @ss like the action no doubt will.

Slight Spoiler:
From the trailer, looks like Tom Hardy is captured and abused, and possibly set up as some kind of sacrifice (being strapped on front of the vehicle like that), when Charlize shows up and possibly helps him. I read they had some tension between the two of them on the set, but worked through it. Filming in the desert and heat would be tough as it is and probably had something to do with their possible conflict.

Have you seen some of the early copycat films of this desert car battle genre? I would recommend checking out the comical but interesting Warriors of the Lost World. There's another one that was also entertaining, can't think of the title... I'll have to dig it up from my collection. They're fun movies in the wasteland armored vehicle spirit, but admittedly very cheesy.

True, but that is the theatrical movie, and this is the preorder thread for the German disc at the moment. Interesting to have a blu-ray thread before it hits theaters, but we have box art and everything. I guess because this is the 3D forum we could merge them. No big deal either way.

Amazon.de uses 12-31 usually as a placeholder. I doubt it's the actual release date.

That's new information for me, thanks. It seemed too far out, because the window is much smaller than that now. Hopefully we'll get a real date on the 3D release soon. Personally, it was reassuring to me that the 3D blu-ray is definitely coming out.

Mad Max: Fury Road is one of the greatest action movies ever captured to film. It's a colossal achievement with great characters, clever details and world building, thunderous and nervewracking action sequences, and a wonderful score by Junkie XL. Pure bliss and I can't wait to watch this again and again!!!! Easily my favorite movie this year!

The 3d conversion was also outstanding. This movie was definitely intended to be in 3d and it clearly shows. High medium to strong 3d throughout, and it adds a killer sense of reality and menace to the chase sequences. Lots of debris and sparks and sand fly out of the screen and the sandstorm is a 3d standout for me. One of the best 3d bits though like another user mentioned is a prolonged slow mo pop out at the end that really took me by surprise and made me laugh xD

Can't reccomend this movie and the 3d highly enough!!!!
Cool, thanks for the review Mseeley.

Probably a good idea as it'll let the studio know the demand for home 3D is present.

Wow! That was incredible.

If you love action, you will love this film in 2D or 3D, but 3D is definitely more preferred. I wish it was shot natively because the depth in the beginning of the film wasn't as strong as it was later. But make no mistake about it, this film was shot with 3D visuals in mind.

This was my first time watching a film on IMAX' brand new 3D 4k dual laser projectors. The black levels are absolutely incredible. They come very close to plasma levels. Also, I believe the Glasses for this system are different than the linear polarized glasses with the old system. I can tilt my head and there is no crosstalk. Brightness looked about the same as the old IMAX 3D system, since both use dual projectors to keep the light level high enough to enjoy with the glasses on.

Hopefully, more IMAX theaters will upgrade to the new system.

I got to see this tonight and it was one hell of a thrill ride, with some crazy looking characters and crazy looking vehicles, I would of liked to have seen max having a longer car chase in his Ford Falcon though that seemed to end to quickly for me. I thought the 3D was pretty good with quite a few shots protruding out of the screen there was one popout that actually made me blink, I think it was when a gun came flying out of the screen, as mentioned in other posts though, the best popouts were right near the ending they could of had plenty more throughout the film but I'm guessing they didn't want it labeled as a popout "gimmicky" movie.
It was't showing in imax at my local theater as The Avengers is still showing, which I saw last week.
The Trailer for Jurassic World looked very much like the 3D for Jurassic Park "pretty strong" I don't know if this was done by the same people or not but it looked good.

Did anybody else experience some serious frame judder in the movie? It didn't really detract from it, but it was a bit jarring at times.

No worries if it was just my theater -- I'll enjoy it at home.

It was done on purpose (as in Saving Private Ryan) but I'm not keen on that type of thing. The film was alright, but maybe after all the raves I got my expectations up too high.

True, the night scenes have great 3D (high med to strong layers).

I'll have to see it again, as most times the movie was easy to watch in 3D.
I went in expecting a movie similar to the prior Mad Max movies, so I wasn't disappointed. The action and 3D were solid, which was mainly what I went to see, along with the atmosphere.

Funniest part in the movie? The guy in the red suit playing the guitar. I can just imagine it, "Okay, who wants to be strapped up to the front of the vehicle playing guitar in the boiling sun while we chase down Imperator Furiosa?"
It matches the over the top character design tone perfectly so it's part of the charm of Mad Max Fury Road.

I'll say it's one of the best 3D conversions in a theatrical movie so far in 2015 next to Seventh Son 3D and Jupiter Ascending 3D. The 3D exceeded my expectations.

I like the way all of the fire has a red tint to it.

The guitar playing stunt man just recent wed one of Immortan Joe's wives in real life. Can't remember which one but they met while filming Fury Road back in 2012.
