Marvel Studios' X-Men '97, an animated Original Series, coming in 2023 to

Among those returning are Cal Dodd (Wolverine), Lenore Zann (Rogue), George Buza (Beast), Adrian Hough (Nightcrawler), Christopher Britton (Mr. Sinister), Catherine Disher (Jean Grey), Chris Potter (Gambit), Alison Sealy-Smith (Storm), and Alyson Court (Jubilee).

New voices will include Jennifer Hale, Anniwaa Buachie, Ray Chase, Matthew Waterson, JP Karliak, Holly Chou, Jeff Bennett, and AJ LoCascio, and we're assuming they'll be delivering their takes on both familiar characters and perhaps even a few additions who weren't part of the show the first time around.

Beau DeMayo will serve as Head Writer and executive producer on X-Men '97, while Jake Castorena and Charley Feldman have been tapped as supervising director and supervising producer respectively. Don't fret, though as X-Men: The Animated Series writers Eric and Julia Lewald and director Larry Houston will all return to the beloved property in consultant roles.

Glad to hear it's a direct continuation of the original Animated Series. It was rumored to just be an "X-Men animated series" before this report, which didn't really seem as special.

Hope they'll later do revials of Spider-Man TAS and Avengers: EMH later on. Spectacular would be gold.

Important to note Court will not be reprising Jubilee as she wants the part to go to an Asian American Actress.

I would much rather have as many of the original voices as possible given that this is a continuation.

I'd definitely be onboard for a Spider-Man TAS Season 6! Bloody love that show.

Also I believe the voice actors of Cyclops, Apocalypse, Magneto have passed away. Magneto had two different voice actors.

In the same note, didn't WB also announce a reboot of Batman TAS as well? Or did I read that wrong.

Marvel might as well bring them all back from the 90's series. Spidey, Iron-Man, Fan 4. lol

Sad! Curious why Cedrick Smith/ Professor X isn't coming back, probably retired I guess.

Dude is almost 80!

I remember being obsessed with the BTS aspects of this show a few years ago when reliving my childhood. Pretty much all the voice actors IIRC are from Canada.

Honestly, most of the OG voice cast is in their 60's I think. Gotta remember that series was almost 30 years ago.

I hope they keep some of the classic sound effects, like Wolverine's claws, Gambit's kinetic card, the Sentinel's voices, the blaster guns. The sliding door that opens in the Mansion War Room.

I hope they add Colossus, Iceman, Nightcrawler, Angel, Psylocke etc. to the eam as regulars.

Funny thing is when I was a kid watching the show I knew exactly who was voicing Professor X because I also watched Avonlea.

Loved the original, so all in on this if it's got decent animation style. The previous change during the old one was jarring enough lol

I was never that into the X-Men series overall (I always prefered Batman TAS or Spider-Man TAS) but that theme tune has always been sublime.

What're the chances of a remaster of the original series to coincide with this? Loved the stories as a kid, but they look pretty rough these days.
